Coaching Courses

At Woodland Soccer Club, we don't require you to be a licensed coach. You need to pass the RMA (Risk Management Association) verification check to work with the kids. But, you don't need a coaching license.

There are a series of Coaching Licenses that you may obtain. WSC regularly gives a training class for U6-U8 coaches in August. This is a good introduction to working with the younger kids. More info is on the U6-U8 Coaching Clinic webpage.

Many of you are interested in learning how to become a better coach. There are many coaching licenses that are available. See the Washington Youth Soccer webpage for more details. WSC recommends that you obtain a State "E" Certificate when you work with U9 or above. The State "E" Certificate is an introduction to the methodology of coaching and the four components of coaching soccer: Technique, Tactics, Fitness and Psychology. Courses for the "E" Certificate complete in a single weekend.

Time: Friday, March 23, ~6:00 - 9:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday, March 24 & 25, ~8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day.
